FAQ

What is in a Nanica de Ouro?

A Nanica de Ouro is made with 40 ml gold rum (recommended: Bacardi Carta Oro), 30 ml banana cachaça (recommended: Quero Chuva Banana), 15 ml fresh lime juice, Ice and Lime wheel.

When should you serve a Nanica de Ouro?

A Nanica de Ouro fits a party, a hot day and a Brazilian table.

What can I use instead of cachaça?

Cachaça is a Brazilian cane spirit. Without it, the drink is no longer the same recipe. An unaged rhum agricole is the closest stand-in; white rum is a last resort and will taste different.

What is the bartender tip for a Nanica de Ouro?

The Oro is still the base (40 ml); the 30 ml of Quero Chuva Banana brings banana, sweetness, and a bit of cachaça — that's why there's no syrup. The banana cachaça is 20% ABV and already sweetened: stacking banana syrup on top tastes like candy. The catalog's Banana Daiquiri is the cousin with 60 ml rum and banana liqueur (or syrup, in the variant), no Quero Chuva. Chilled coupe, no ice.
