FAQ
What is in a Camparinha?
A Camparinha is made with 1 lime (cut into 6 pieces), 20 ml simple syrup, 40 ml cachaça, 60 ml Campari and Ice.
When should you serve a Camparinha?
A Camparinha fits a party, a hot day, an aperitif, easy prep and a Brazilian table.
What can I use instead of cachaça?
Cachaça is a Brazilian cane spirit. Without it, the drink is no longer the same recipe. An unaged rhum agricole is the closest stand-in; white rum is a last resort and will taste different.
What is the bartender tip for a Camparinha?
Campari already comes in sweet and bitter: 20 ml of syrup is enough for the lime's acidity. Too much force with the muddler pulls oil from the peel and makes the drink overly herbaceous. Lots of ice is what keeps the caipirinha cold without diluting fast.
