What is the bartender tip for a Grasshopper?
The IBA is equal parts (20/20/20). White crème de cacao, not the dark: dark muddies the mint-green color. Green crème de menthe gives the grasshopper look; the white works for flavor, but you lose the green. Fresh cream (or light cooking cream), not milk — milk thins the drink and won't emulsify. Shake well to bring the fat together. De Kuyper and Bols cover both liqueurs on the Brazilian market. The catalog already has the White Russian (vodka, coffee, and cream); this is mint and chocolate, with no dry spirit.
