What is the bartender tip for a Orchard Bee?
Steve the Bartender's spec uses Laird's Apple Brandy bonded (50% ABV); Calvados or Applejack cover it. In Brazil, green apple whiskey (Jim Beam Apple and similar) is the easy stand-in — it's sweeter than the brandy, so cut the honey syrup a little if it gets cloying. The 3:1 syrup is denser than the 1:1 in a Bee's Knees; if you only have 1:1, bump the pour a little. Small glass, no ice in the serve.
