Revólver
Revólver is a coffee, strong and toasty cocktail made with Liqueur and Whiskey, with high flavor complexity.
Ingredients
- 60 ml whisky (2 shots)
- 25 ml coffee liqueur (recommended: Cabra Lab)
- 2 dashes Angostura (orange bitters if you have them)
- Plenty of ice
- Navel orange peel
Method
- Fill the coupe with ice and stir to chill the glass. Set aside.
- In the shaker, add the whisky, coffee liqueur, and the 2 dashes of Angostura.
- Fill the shaker with plenty of ice and shake hard. Shaking aerates the sugars and oils in the coffee liqueur and builds a dense foam.
- Dump the ice from the chilled coupe and strain the cocktail carefully to keep the foam intact.
- Cut a strip of navel orange peel, hold it near the rim, and squeeze it through a flame toward the drink to spray the toasted essential oils.

What is the bartender tip for a Revólver?
Whisky and coffee liqueur are the soul of the Revólver: the spirit's woody notes meet the coffee's aromatics. Liqueur quality matters — Cabra Lab, made with select Brazilian coffees, has the right density to foam when shaken. If you have orange bitters, use them instead of classic Angostura: they echo the flamed garnish.
